Southport Jazz in the Community
I have worked as part of Wigan Music service for over ten years and it has been my pleasure to work with hundreds of incredible children, their amazing teachers and my own fabulous colleagues. Sadly, as is often the case, many musical opportunities can be missed due to lack of funding whether it’s workshops, trips to live performance or even suitable instruments.
This is where my cunning plan will hopefully help. I am raring to go with plans to take professional musicians into schools to work with children at different stages of their musical path from as young as four to help them to appreciate how music is created and to compose and perform for themselves. I am applying for grants as fast as my fingers will type but… I am also asking for anyone who would like to join me in this musical crusade to sponsor my project and help me get it off the ground.
